Consilium Recruit is exclusively partnering a leading engineering & manufacturing group who specialise in innovative solutions & products to the EV and clean energy sectors. Due to the award of new programs, they have a number of new vacancies to join their expanding team and are currently recruiting for two Senior Functional Safety and Cyber Security Engineers. 


Location: Coventry, Birmingham, Leamington Spa, Warwick (hybrid working)

Salary: Dependant on experience

Suitable For: Functional Safety and Cyber Security Engineer, Functional Safety Engineer.


The Role

  • Deliver Functional Safety and Cyber Security functions.
  • Collaborate with system engineers, components engineers and external suppliers, to deliver designs within the ISO 61508 and ISO 21434 frameworks.
  • Ensuring compliance, for safety and security concepts along with technical, software and hardware safety requirements. Participate in Reliability study for HW (Fault metrics calculations) and FMEDA.
  • Support customer reviews with functional safety input.
  • Deliver work products in compliance with processes for ISO 9001 Deliver tasks in line with project milestones.


The Candidate

  • A degree or similar qualification in systems engineering or an engineering discipline.
  • Strong experience in working across functional safety and cyber security framework.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes from requirements capture through to design validation.
  • Familiarity with MBSE techniques for system modelling.
  • Hardware verification knowledge.
  • Proven cross function communication skills.
  • Willingness to take on roles, responsibilities and challenges required to achieve company goals and objectives, including carrying out tasks directly where required.
