Production Operative - Engineering / Metal work

Location:Stratford-upon-Avon

Contract Type:Permanent

Rotating Shifts:Day shifts 8am - 5pm Mon - Thurs, 8am - 1pm Friday

Pay Rate:Up to 11.44 per hour (depending on experience)

Overtime:Available

Immediate Start:Available

We are currently looking for a production operative who is willing to be trained on Press Brake Machines and other engineering equipment, to join our client based in Stratford-upon-Avon. This role offers an excellent foundation for growth and is a permanent position. Comprehensive training on Press Brake operations will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Operating and/or setting machinery - Press Brake Machines (training provided)
  • Working to specified tolerances
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Collaborating as part of a team and working independently
  • Working with metal thicknesses ranging from 1mm to 10mm

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in production operative or within the engineering/sheet metal industry
  • Strong focus on quality and precision
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new machinery and processes
  • Tooling knowledge is a plus
  • Experience using overhead cranes (training can be provided if necessary)
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety (including manual handling)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • A flexible, friendly approach with a team focus and can-do attitude
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and complete work independently and as part of a team
