About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Real Estate Surveyor to join the Corporate Real Estate Surveying team at NFU Mutual, where you’ll manage our occupied/leasehold portfolio. Spreading across the UK, including Northern Ireland, our portfolio consists of a mix of asset classes including offices and retail.

As the Corporate Real Estate Surveyor, you’ll be key in implementing NFU Mutual’s property portfolio strategy, which includes managing the life cycle of property, from initial lease acquisition and fit-out to disposal/relocation. You’ll ensure that each stage, including intervening lease activity, such as rent reviews and lease renewals, is compliant with the Group’s requirements and policies, and that all work is undertaken within legal and regulatory frameworks.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll review space requirements and acquire suitable property where required. You’ll also work collaboratively to manage costs in line with budgetary requirements and assist with financial planning. Managing and monitoring external providers, such as managing agents, letting agents and legal advisors, you’ll ensure services are delivered within the terms of contract agreements.

This is a diverse role where you’ll assist with the delivery of short term and one-off projects, so you’ll be involved in many aspects of general practise surveying.

We understand how important a positive work-life balance is to you, so we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment, and support to work some of your hours from home. To help you give your best in the office and at home, we’re open to discussing what this might look like for you.

About you

RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) qualified, you confidently demonstrate your expertise and credentials in the field. Building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust, you intuitively consider and act upon stakeholders’ needs. A team player, who seeks and acts on feedback from others, you easily multitask and readily adapt to changing demands. Consistently producing work to a high standard, you use your market knowledge and experience in commercial surveying to identify opportunities to help a business to succeed.

To join our team, you must also:
