Yard Operative required. Our client is a long-standing family business that have been in the agricultural and Ground care industry for over 100 years. They are now looking for a Yard Operative due to the growth of the business. This will be for the Stratford Upon Avon depot.

Yard Operative Job Overview
  • Safe Loading and Unloading of Lorries
  • Ensuring paperwork is completed for deliveries - check machinery and goods received for quantity and any damage, record photographs of machinery arriving, sign delivery notes and process delivery
  • Assisting with collection of machinery - keeping photo log of machinery that is collected to show condition when leaves the yard
  • Maintenance of Yard machines
  • Keeping yard clean, clear, and operational
  • Routine cleaning of yard and facilities
  • Displaying new and Used machines for sale
  • Some pre-delivery inspection work and routine service work
  • Monitoring and re-ordering of fuels
  • Labelling up and storage of control boxes and user manuals
  • Collection and sorting of Recyclable waste
  • Assisting workshop with delivering out parts to Engineers
  • Work in a safe manner in respect of yourself and others and adhere to the Company's Health and Safety policies and procedures
Yard Operative Job Requirements
  • Experience with working in a yard environment
  • Work well under pressure and retain a positive attitude
  • Full driving licence essential
  • Forklift licence would be beneficial
  • Experience with driving Agricultural Machinery
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • IT literate
  • Excellent attention to detail
Yard Operative Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 with OTE depending upon experience, paid hourly
  • Holiday Package: 24 days + 8BH
  • Company Pension Plan - 7% employer contribution and 3% employee contribution.
