Our clientOur client offers high-quality, digitally enabled rolling stock solutions that contribute hugely towards the success of Britain's railways. They not only own and lease new rolling stock vehicles but also offer asset management which is focussed on driving performance, safety and suitability for the asset's life span. You will be responsible for: * To champion the development of a safe culture on site * To develop and implement site Health and Safety procedures, along with safe methods of working* Implement and manage health and safety actions/ recommendations tracking ensuring that the results of these are recorded.* Develop and maintain a suite of risk assessments to cover the range of activities carried out on site (rail and non-rail)* Identify health and safety training needs, ensuring that the staff have the relevant levels of competence* Safety Management of 3rd Party Contractors - including CDM compliance (where applicable), review and sign off of RAMS, and issue of site work permits* Produce a monthly site health & safety report which includes site related Health, Safety, and Environment KPI's * Investigate all site accidents/ incidents and near misses, ensuring that the company close call process is embedded * Carry out site safety inspections * Develop, implement and maintain the site Environmental Management System * Carry out site safety audits - including periodic audits of site tenants ensuring that the results of these are recorded and that all open actions are closed in a timely manner* Develop Health and Safety alerts ensuring that these are read and understood by all parties* Carry out health and safety briefings and toolbox talks on a monthly basis Qualifications:* Nebosh General Certificate or equivalent (Essential)* ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 or 45001:2018 internal auditor (Desirable)* Trained risk assessor (Essential)* Trained accident investigator (Essential)Knowledge:* Good knowledge of rail and depot operations * Conversive with relevant Health & Safety Legislation and Rail Industry StandardsKey Skills:* 3 - 5 years safety management experience in a safety critical industry (within rail engineering/ operations depots)* Development of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems* Mobilisation of new sites/ operations* Demonstrable experience of delivering a positive and sustaining safe delivery culture in an operational environmentContact information:Email: Due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
