IT Support Specialist

Location: South of Birmingham , Hybrid, 3x per week in the office and 2 days remote

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our client, a global SaaS business.

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to end-users, contributing to the general responsibilities of the IT department, and utilizing your skills and experience to address specific IT support tasks.

We're looking for someone confident supporting both Windows and Mac (Apple) environments, with strong end-user support capabilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to IT support tickets, assigning them to the team as needed.
  • Provide end-user IT support, including computer equipment procurement, provisioning, and laptop configuration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer equipment, software, and operating systems.
  • Manage and support meeting room equipment.
  • Set up desks and equipment for new users and process accounts and hardware for former employees.
  • Administer end-user accounts and contribute to proactive IT projects.
  • Provide training to other team members.

Required Skill.s and Abilities:

  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Teams.
  • Strong ownership and completion of assigned work.
  • Initiative and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in multiple areas of IT support.
  • Advanced administrative and organizational capabilities.

Required Education and Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience as an IT support professional.
  • Experience working on an IT support desk using a ticketing system.
  • Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing quick responses while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Experience supporting both macOS and Windows users.
  • Experience supporting executive and high-level team members.
  • Experience in SaaS product administration (e.g., Zoom, Salesforce).
