Job Title: Senior Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a multi-service design, planning and development consultancy who are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic planning policies.
- Leading the development and execution of planning strategies to support sustainable growth across the UK.
- Managing planning applications, appeals, and consultations in line with legislation and best practices.
- Conducting site searches, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to inform decision-making.
- Engaging with local communities, businesses, and government agencies to address planning-related issues.
- Providing expert planning advice and guidance to clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Keeping abreast of legislative changes, trends, and best practices in urban planning.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in planning (local government, consultancy, or development industry).
- Relevant planning qualification (or working towards one).
- Membership of RTPI (or working towards membership).
- Strong understanding of the planning process and systems.
