The role, based in payroll, requires the candidate to consult with a number of parties, such as employees, third parties, and management, to ensure that all payroll issues, queries, and checks are completed to the highest standards. Additionally, all requirements must adhere to compliance and HR policies, keeping the business safe. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain the experience needed to progress in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep up-to-date records of employee's personal data to ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time, including pension data and contributions.
  • Make necessary updates in line with legislation, payroll, pension, and system procedures to deliver and support a high level of service.
  • Advise on and investigate payroll-related queries.
  • Build and support relationships with employee pension providers and the company’s internal pension teams, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to and deliver on projects and activities set by the line manager to the highest standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months payroll experience
  • Self sufficient
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll systems
  • Understanding of Payroll Policies
  • Payroll qualification preferred (CIPP)
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A*-C, 9-4)
