We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, working for a Tier 1 contractor with offices and sites across London. This role offers the opportunity to be placed on one of two major projects-the Piccadilly Depot Upgrade and Sidings Improvement-or within our Civils/Tunneling department, working on a high-profile JV with two Tier 1 contractors. About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of large-scale infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for ensuring cost efficiency, risk management, and compliance with NEC contracts, while working closely with project teams and stakeholders.



Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Manage the commercial function of assigned projects, ensuring cost control and profitability.
  • Administer NEC contracts, including variations, valuations, and dispute resolution.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers to forecast costs and assess risks.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports and cost plans.
  • Engage with stakeholders, clients, and JV partners to maintain strong working relationships.


Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding and experience with NEC contracts.
  • Previous employment with a Tier 1 contractor is desirable.
  • Good career longevity, demonstrating commitment to previous employers.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
