Job Title: Paint Prepper
Location: Stratford Upon Avon
Salary: 15.00 per hour (circa 30,420 per annum)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 39-hour week (Overtime available)

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Paint Prepper to join our client's team. The primary focus of this role will be preparing machinery for painting, ensuring surfaces are meticulously cleaned and prepped to the highest standards. Candidates should be comfortable working on large-scale items. While the role is predominantly centered around preparation, there will be opportunities to assist in the painting process as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare machinery for painting by thoroughly cleaning and prepping surfaces.
  • Apply masking to areas where paint should not be applied.
  • Assist in the application of primer and undercoating on machinery.
  • Ensure all preparation work meets company quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the painting team to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in paint preparation or a related field is advantageous.
  • Ability to work on large-scale machinery and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Physical stamina and the capability to handle manual tasks.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate of 15.00, equating to approximately 30,420 per annum based on a 39-hour week.
  • Overtime opportunities available at a rate of 22.50 per hour (time and a half).
  • Estimated additional annual earnings of 8,100 based on an average of 8 hours overtime per week over a 45-week period, bringing potential annual earnings closer to 38,520.
  • Salary review after 6 months of employment.
