The job is full-time, with hours from 8.30 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on Fridays.

The role of Yard Operative is primarily the accepting vehicles with a look over and sign in to vehicle storage compound, cleaning vehicles before collections. The Yard Operative will be trained to, and is responsible for, stock storage and preservation to the standards prescribed by the business. The role reports directly to Team Leaders and will require the Yard Operative to be flexible and move between areas of the Yard as requested in order to maintain production flow.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Signing out vehicles to delivery drivers
Accepting vehicles with a look over and sign in to vehicle storage compound
Cleaning vehicles before collections - using jet wash and manual wiping / vacuuming inside the vehicles
Cleaning of workshops - sweeping - breaking down boxes and emptying bins into skip / recycling.
General tidy up around site.
Assist with goods inwards - placing signed in items into the stores area
Driving around local area for deliveries and collections

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

FLT Operator - Counterbalance (preferred)
Must have a clean UK license
Experience of working in a warehousing / manufacturing /in and outdoor environment. Flexible, fast learner.
