FOOD AND NUTRITION TEACHER
An opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Food and Nutrition Teacher to join a Good Academy in the borough of Newham from January.

This large academy based in the heart of Newham is currently looking to recruit a qualified Food and Nutrition Teacher to join their team. The successful Head Teacher together with his very forward-thinking Senior Leadership Team are fully focused on achieving the best possible educational outcomes for their pupils. There is a big emphasis on ensuring that pupils achieve their goals by making sure that they are taught by skilled specialist teachers who really know their subjects. Staff are encouraged to plan together, and this will involve both teaching and support staff affiliated with each department. There are high expectations of teaching staff to ensure that the lessons they are delivering are of a good standard, as the more engaging the lesson, the more likely the children will behave well.

Teachers typically deliver lessons that engage and motivate students to learn. All staff understand the schools vision and they are committed to the school community.'
Food and Nutrition Teacher
Here lies the opportunity to join not only a great school, but a very successful Technology department. They are looking to appoint a talented and dynamic Food and Nutrition Teacher who will be responsible for teaching Food and Nutrition to KS3 and KS4. The successful candidate will also take responsibility for teaching Hospitality and Catering Level 1/2 award to Years 10 and 11. You will be working alongside a large and very supportive team to work closely together to ensure that the children are given the opportunity to reach their own individual goals. With varying levels of experience within the department, both experienced and Newly Qualified (NQT) Food and Nutrition Teachers are welcomed to apply for this post.
The role is to start in January and will be for the remainder of the academic year in the first instance.
To be considered for this FOOD and NUTRITION Teacher role you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- PGCE in Food and Nutrition
- Experience teaching Hospitality and Catering to KS5
- The desire to join a very successful department and school
