An English Tutor is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in East London.


This English Tutor position will be part time for 1 or 2 days a week.


Working hours at the school are 8am to 4pm.


Sessions for this English Tutor post will be for KS4 English with 1 to 3 pupils at a time.


The rates of pay this English Tutor role will range from 90 to 130 a day, depending on the experiences and qualifications of each applicant.


The School


A Coeducational Secondary Free School & Sixth Form, located between the London Boroughs of Newham and Tower Hamlets.

A heavy focus is placed on Grammar at the school.

Students are entered in to GCSE and EPQ qualifications.

From Year 7 to Year 11, all pupils learn the 3 Core Sciences, English, Maths, Ethics and Sports.

At 6th Form level, all pupils must take up a Maths and Science course. They must then choose two more subjects from Philosophy, Economics, Humanities, Latin, English Literature or Art. The reason for this is because the school wants to produce future scientists, medics and engineers.

Currently the school is split across two different sites, with one acting as the main site for lower school and the other acting as the upper school site.

Requirements

You're welcome to apply if you're an English Graduate or an experienced English Tutor.

Applications are also encouraged if you are a British trained English Tutor or overseas trained English Tutor.

All applicants must have the following as a must in order to be considered for this position as an English Tutor:

* Right to work in the UK
* UK English Degree or equivalent
* Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
* Experience of working with children/teenagers aged 5 to 16 years old or as an English Tutor in London schools
