Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic planning policies
  • Manage planning applications, appeals, and consultations in line with legislation and best practices
  • Conduct site searches, feasibility studies, and impact assessments
  • Engage with local communities, businesses, and government agencies to resolve planning-related issues
  • Provide expert advice on planning matters to clients and external stakeholders
  • Monitor legislative changes and emerging trends in urban planning

What You Need:

  • Experience in a Planning role, ideally within local government, consultancy, or the development sector
  • Relevant Planning qualification or working towards one
  • Membership or working towards membership of the RTPI
  • Strong understanding of the planning process and systems
  • Excellent writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
  • A team player with enthusiasm, drive, and commitment
