We are currently recruiting for a small but long-established, successful supplier/importer business in Street Somerset. The hours are around 24 per week, and you can choose between working Monday-to Friday, or 3 days per week. You will report into the management team and be responsible for:-

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyse financial data, prepare comprehensive financial reports, and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Budget Management: Lead the budgeting process, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial planning to support business goals, regularly reporting to management.
  • Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments.
  • VAT & Transactions: Handle VAT submissions and manage company transactions with precision.
  • Payroll: Oversee monthly payroll processes.
  • Managing purchase & sales ledger
  • Cost control

What were looking for:

  • Qualifications: AAT, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Experience: Proven experience in financial services, accounting, cost control, and financial management.
  • Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial planning principles and practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in financial software, advanced MS Excel skills, SAGE experience.
  • Someone seeking part time hours
  • Analytical Abilities: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the import of goods, preferably fashion industry and a knowledge of the sector is beneficial, but not essential.
