Role : Maintenance Engineer

Location: Somerset

Package: £47,230 + Pension, healthcare and many more (overtime available at double time)

Shifts: Panamas Days and nights

The Company

My client are one of the largest systems integrators in the world, with well over 5000 employees world wide operating with a global function. As a true leader In automation my client design, install, build, commission and maintain at their resident sites adapting to the customers demand. Working with Tier 1 clients across various industries within warehousing. With ongoing commitment to R&D and delivering great service has lead to their turnover surpassing the £2bn mark last year. Due to increase in Demand my clients site in Somerset are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. This site was one of my clients first within the UK. This site alone is a key site for my client turning over £200 million of their products per year.

The role

  • Your responsibilities will include a very even split between Planned Maintenance and Breakdowns on the production line.
  • The role also comes with a split of mechanical and electrical tasks
  • As part of the role you will be required to work with their customer and adapt to their requirements
  • Working with Sensors, relays, contactors, bearing, belts, pneumatics and Hydrulics systems
  • Within your role you will be working with various forms of machinery including: 25 cranes  long 15m high- must be comfortable with height, conveyors, Shrinking machines
  • A tablet provided that works with CMMS to organise PPM using state of the art technology

 

The candidate

As a Maintenance Engineer I am looking for Someone:

  • With a recognised engineering qualification
  • Who will be able to work in a high pressure and fast moving environment
  • Who can work electrically and mechanically depending on the need of the site
  • Who is a strong communicator so will be able to work as part of a team but also adopt the cohesion of the team in Somerset
  • Work independently when needed to but also work with the team as and when needed to
