A tailor-made parking solutions company, operating in over 9 countries and 183 cities, are seeking a Part Time Civil Enforcement Officers to patrol permanent and temporary parking places within Lichfield and Cannock, to ensure compliance with either the 1991 Road Traffic Act, or 2024 Traffic Management Act, by issuing parking notices when require.

Your place of work will either be Cannock or Lichfield, and you will have access to your own facilities. If you are in Lichfield the hours will be 25  per week, and the Cannock role the hours are 30 hours per week and 22.5 hours per week.

Full training will be given, and you must hold a full UK driving licence.

Start for this role will be mid to late April, and it is a permanent role.

The duties of the Civil Enforcement Officer will include:

  • Issue parking notices to offending vehicles
  • Complete pocketbook in standardised manner according to the regulations
  • Complete street visits as required
  • Radio in the first parking notice issued
  • Notify your Team Leader of the total count of parking notices at the end of your shift
  • Inspect parking meters and pay and display machines, to ensure they are working prior to issuing notices
  • Placing out of order notices and reporting faults on parking meters and pay and display machines
  • Record additional evidence which may be required to prove breach of regulations, and which would not be included on parking notices
  • Check and report on signs and markings to ensure that any parking notices issues are valid
  • Report suspected abandoned vehicles
  • Act as a source of local information to the public
  • Deal with difficult customers effectively
  • Carry out cash collections in line with company procedures
  • Carry out minor machine maintenance
