Description

Prepare and manage weekly cash forecasts to ensure sufficient cash resources.
Oversee weekly payment runs, bank reconciliations, and credit card administration.
Maintain the fixed asset register, monitoring capital projects and capitalisation's.
Conduct month-end reporting, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Collaborate with department leads on cost centre analysis, addressing variances and making budgetary recommendations.
Provide support for accounts payable and receivable, assisting the Finance Assistant as needed.
Assist with annual external audits and comply with external reporting requirements.
Promote continuous improvement within the Finance team and uphold quality, safety, and ESG standards.

Profile

The successful Assistant Accountant should have:

Currently studying accounting (CIMA/ACCA) with a strong desire to advance.
Skilled in cash management, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly financial reporting.
Proactive in identifying efficiency improvements and implementing new processes.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting strict deadlines.
Experienced in cash flow forecasting and, ideally, familiar with the manufacturing sector.
Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments.
Committed to supporting sustainability goals and adhering to quality, safety, and ESG standards.
