CNC Operative

Our well established, successful and constantly developing client based in Stroud are currently looking for a CNC Operative to join their friendly team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity to join an engineering company that have a low turnover of staff and can offer excellent career progression internally.

You will be responsible for operating one or more CNC machines within the CNC Cell therefore, previous knowledge or experience in a similar CNC role is essential. You will craft and maintain precision parts and components, which are crucial in aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities:

-Operate one or more CNC machines in the cell.

-Daily machine health check list.

-Responsible for traveller bookings and documents in the cell and stamping own work.

-Report non-conformance reports.

-Assist with other duties as directed by the Production Team Leader.

-Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.

-Minimise the level of scrap components.

-Support any new staff or apprentices which are working within the Machine Shop.

-Communicate workshop issues to the CNC Setter and Production Team Leader.

Candidate Attributes:

-Basic CNC programming and machine competence.

-Good written and verbal communication skills.

-Ability to be able to read and understand engineering drawings.

-Ability to problem solve

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm + early finish Fridays 8am - 2pm

Salary: Very competitive (able to disclose immediately upon application) + 25 days hols plus bank holidays & excellent benefits package!
