With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, our client is seeking a skilled Machining Technician - CNC Milling to join their dynamic team in Stroud.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and CNC Operators to provide essential first-line engineering support
  • Interpret and fulfil customer requirements with guidance from the Manufacturing Engineers
  • Write and modify CNC programmes to meet production needs
  • Provide hands-on support for New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives
  • Promote and maintain a safety-first culture
  • Support continuous improvement activities across the organisation
  • Collaborate with and support wider production teams

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Relevant experience at a technical engineering/programming level
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Comfortable using computer-based manufacturing systems and reporting

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience with Fanuc Controls
  • Previous leadership experience at Team Leader level or above
  • CNC turning experience
  • Direct experience using HyperMill CAD/CAM
  • Familiarity with Fanuc, Sieme ns, and Heidenhain controls
