Production Operative

Our client manufacture electronics within the audio and HiFi markets. They are looking for a Production Operative to join their team!
Production Operative Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assemble components such as cones, voice coils, magnets, and diaphragms
- Follow specified designs
- Inspect components for any defects or irregularities in the drive unit parts
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all components meet design specifications and quality standards
- Operate assembly machinery and tools like presses, soldering irons for assembling, fixing, or connecting parts
- Test assembled drive units for functionality, sound quality, and performance according to standard operating procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area
- Document production and quality data for each assembly process
- Adhere to safety procedures and ensure compliance with workplace safety guidelines
- Work closely with other team members to meet production targets and timelines
The Ideal Production Operative:
- Previous experience in electronics or mechanical assembly
- Understanding of woodwork and carpentry techniques
- Manufacturing health and safety certification
- Ability to work with a variety of materials and finishes
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electronic testing equipment
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical components
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow assembly instructions precisely
- Good communication skills for reporting issues or improvements to supervisors and engineers
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly issues
- Ability to lift and handle components of varying weights
- Manual dexterity and the ability to work with small parts and tools
Working Hours:
- Monday - Friday: 08:00am - 16:30pm
