Exclusively partnered with Aila, our client has very ambitious growth plans and they’re looking for their first permanent Head of Finance to join and help accelerate their growth.About the Company:
  • Established in 2020 and scaled rapidly: Revenue YOY = £1m, £2m, £5m £10m.
  • FMCG brand that has launched in major retailers this year, with more planned in 2025

The Role:As Head of Finance, you will manage the day-to-day finance operations and provide financial insights and guidance to drive business growth and profitability. This role will work closely with the CFO and other senior stakeholders to improve financial performance, inform key business decisions, and optimise operational efficiency and strategic initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Growth, Head of Sales and Head of Operations to gain a key understanding of the channels
  • Support with pricing strategies and promotional planning
  • Provide analysis and insights on sales channel performance to drive revenue, profitability, and efficiencies
  • Support the business in evaluating new opportunities
  • Ownership of the planning/budgeting/forecasting process, ensuring financial impacts of channel activities are understood
  • Manage and update the cash flow forecast
  • Develop and maintain the financial models
  • Lead the preparation of the month-end management accounts process, identifying variances to budget and forecast, understanding the underlying drivers along with supporting commentary and actionable insights
  • Prepare and review monthly accruals, prepayments, FAR and similar accounting entries
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Commercial Accountant with 2-3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Previous experience in a product/stock-based business is essential, ideally from a consumer goods business
  • Strong problem-solving skills and commercially curious mindset
  • Demonstrable business partnering experience with the ability to effectively communicate with non-finance business partners
  • Strong understanding of data analysis and the ability to interpret data and its impact
  • Commercial with the ability to present complex financial information concisely
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising multiple projects and deadlines
The Package & Benefits:
  • Salary: £75,000 - £85,000
