Part-Time Finance Director - 2 Days Per Week

Not every Finance Director role is full-on. Some are about bringing experience, oversight, and a steady hand to a business that's already running well. This is one of those.

This is a profitable, private equity-backed manufacturing business with a slick operation. The leadership team is sharp, entrepreneurial, and experienced-their customers are both in the UK and overseas. They don't need a finance overhaul. They need someone who can guide the next phase of growth without overcomplicating things.

This would suit an experienced FD who wants to scale back their working week or add a solid business to their portfolio. Two days a week (maybe a little more to start), plus board meetings.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Strategic finance oversight-helping shape the company's future direction.
  • Supporting international expansion-especially in the US and Europe.
  • Leading the finance function-monthly consolidations, cash flow forecasting, and internal controls.
  • Working with private equity and external advisors-making sure compliance and reporting are watertight.
  • Bringing financial clarity to a leadership team that's commercially sharp but not finance-heavy.
  • Attending board meetings and making sure the agenda stays focused.

What You'll Need:

  • FD-level experience, ideally in a multinational or manufacturing business.
  • A straight-talking approach-no jargon, no fluff, just solid financial guidance.
  • The ability to explain complex financials in plain English-this isn't a business that wants spreadsheets full of theory.
  • A hands-on mindset-you'll be involved in the detail but won't be empire-building.
  • A local base is preferred, and some US travel will be needed.

This isn't about firefighting or fixing broken processes. It's about giving a successful business the financial expertise it needs to keep scaling-without unnecessary complexity.

What's On Offer:

Salary £80,000 - £100,000 pro rata, depending on qualification and relevant experience.

Share options after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance.

Onsite parking.
