Inspection Team Leader

Our well established, successful, and constantly developing client based in Stroud are currently looking for an Inspection Team Leader to join their friendly team for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

This is a great opportunity to join an engineering company that has a low turnover of staff and who can offer excellent career progression if desired.

You will report to the Quality Manager and be responsible overseeing the inspection department, managing the goods in inspection, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operations and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) with a focus on Dye Penetrant Inspection.

Responsibilities

- Ensure effective allocation of resources, scheduling of work, and setting priorities within the team.

- Oversee the initial inspection of incoming materials and components, ensuring quality standards and project requirements are met.

- Manage the operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines ensuring accurate and timely measurement and analysis of components.

- Supervise the Non-Destructive Testing operations ensuring compliance with industry standards and quality assurance.

- Oversee the final inspection processes, ensuring all products meet the required specifications before dispatch.

- Ensure all inspection processes are in line with quality standards.

- Implement and maintain quality control procedures.

- Train and mentor team members.

- Implement strategies to increase efficiency and accuracy.

- Provide regular reports to management on department performance.

- Ensure all inspection activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards.

Key Attributes

- Previous experience in an inspection role within the oil and gas industry.

- Proven leadership and team management skills.

- Knowledge of CMM and NDT techniques.

- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in relevant software and inspection tools.

- Ability to manage a busy and changing workload.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm + early finish Fridays 8am - 2pm
