Reed Food & FMCG are partnering with a market leading brand to assist in finding a Quality Assurance Coordinator – this is an opportunity not to be missed.

This varied role will get you involved in all aspects of QA, but also give you insight into NPD, brand and market trends, an exciting and ever-changing role, ensuring the business are always heading in the right direction.

You’ll be a creative problem solver, with a track record of getting to the root cause of issues and investigation. There will of course be administrative and compliance duties, and any knowledge of quality systems would be advantageous. Including BRC, ISO17025 and/or retailer quality standards.

Some typical day-to-day duties

  • Planning and organising work to set relevant objectives and critical tasks
  • Lab internal audits
  • Updating and maintaining quality records
  • Monitoring strict microbiological requirements
  • Management of compliance, including reviewing and updating relevant procedures documented in the Laboratory Manual where applicable
  • Investigation of customer/consumer complaints and contribute to subsequent corrective actions
  • Managing the maintenance and effectiveness of the laboratory

You’ll be/have

  • Degree educated in Food Science or Microbiology (or similar)
  • Demonstrable experience within food or beverage manufacturing
  • Demonstrable understanding of food microbiology
  • Strong communicator
