Quality Control Inspector

Our well established, successful, and constantly developing client based in Stroud are currently looking for a Quality Control Inspectorto join their friendly team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity to join an engineering company that has a low turnover of staff and who can offer excellent career progression if desired.

You will report to the Team Leader and be responsible for carrying out a range of inspection tasks within the company, following the guidance of the Inspection Supervisor. You'll also collaborate with team members to ensure that drawing requirements, specifications, company standards are met

Responsibilities

- Conduct initial inspections.

- Complete inspection record sheets.

- Perform inspections for dye penetrants

- Manage works traveller bookings.

- Issue goods reject notes.

- Create non-conformance reports.

- Follow work instructions and procedures.

- Ensure raw materials certification is in place.

- Calibrate inspection equipment.

- Generate reports for items that do not meet standards.

- Apply quality control measures/techniques to ensure products meet required standards.

- Maintain good housekeeping in inspection areas.

- Contribute to promoting continuous improvement within the inspection team.

- Any other ad-hoc duties as required.

Key Attributes

- Previous experience with inspection/measuring equipment.

- Previous use of one of Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) both manual and CNC.

- Ability to read engineering drawings.

- Proficiency in relevant software and inspection tools.

- Ability to manage a busy and changing workload.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm + early finish Fridays 8am - 2pm
