About The Job:

Our client, a leading aerospace organisation based in Stroud, is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer - NPI/FAIR to join their team. As a key member of the Quality Team, you will play a vital role in interpreting customer requirements and supporting the production teams with New Product Introduction (NPI). Additionally, you will be responsible for completing and submitting customer First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) for new and infrequent products. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the organisation's ongoing success and make a real impact within the Quality Control function.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyse customer requirements, particularly drawings and specifications, to facilitate NPI
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely FAIR reports, addressing any issues resulting from customer feedback
  • Provide valuable support to the Quality Control Team, ensuring high standards of internal product quality
  • Manage and deliver specific assigned Quality-related projects and objectives
  • Champion a safety-first culture, prioritising the well-being of all team members

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in inspecting machined products within a CNC Machining Environment
  • Proven ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Direct experience in completing and submitting First Article Inspection Reports
  • Valid driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience working in an Aerospace AS9100 approved facility
  • Familiarity with Net-Inspect Quality Management System
  • Awareness of CNC Milling/Turning and CAD/CAM technologies
  • Experience with Safran DVI process
  • Familiarity with operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
