The Opportunity
This exciting organisation is now recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join their collaborative and ambitious team located in Stroud. The company manages an estate more than 4M Sq. Ft of industrial property as well as an ever-growing general property portfolio.
Reporting into the Facilities Director and supporting the wider team, the Quantity Surveyor will work on projects within the industrial space, as well as a diverse range of other projects in other sectors. Knowledge of the Industrial and Commercial sectors, including groundworks, would be advantageous. They are therefore seeking a Quantity Surveyor who has a broad range of experience and is adaptable.
The Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities
- Commercial responsibility of several projects at any time, ranging in value from 5k - 3.5 million.
- Preparation of applications for payment.
- Collation and pricing of variations as and when required.
- Understanding of technical drawings.
- Produce cash flow forecasts / reports as and when required.
- Obtaining certifications and payments.
- Taking commercial responsibility of the project including any negotiations up to and including final account agreements.
- Knowledge and awareness of contracts and procurement solutions.
- Management of retentions and Final Certification.
- Liaise Contractors and Suppliers as necessary regarding commercial aspects following order placement.
- To assist and work closely with the Facilities Director.
The Requirements
- Professional qualification with significant experience at Quantity Surveyor.
- Proven Contract Management experience (JCT ideally)
- Measurement and BOQ scheduling
- CAD understanding desirable but not essential
- Driving License
- A good team player, highly motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced working environment.
