Hooray are delighted to have been retained by Stroud Women's Refuge to manage the recruitment for a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join their team on a full-time permanent basis (Part-time will be considered for the right candidate).

As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will:

  • Establish positive working relationships with a 'whole family' approach working with vulnerable individuals and families affected by domestic abuse
  • Undertake risk assessments and safety planning to maximise safety for women and children in the service
  • Deliver a range of support activities, workshops and group programmes in our refuge and community settings
  • Work closely with partner agencies and colleagues to proactively address any challenges
  • Participate in the on-call rota for housing related issues (approx. one evening a week and one weekend in 5)

To be successful as a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will:

  • Hold a full UK Driving License with access to a vehicle
  • Be experienced in supporting adults, children or families in a crisis environment
  • Be able to demonstrate flexibility in your approach
  • Have a genuine connection to the organisation and want to make a difference to those accessing the service
  • Have an ability to identify areas for self and organisational improvement

In return, we are offering an annual salary of up to £28,770 depending on experience. Please note, this is a full-time, permanent position (Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00) with on call responsiblities.
