A Stroud Primary school is urgently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant for September!

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you would support a KS2 pupil on the Autism spectrum conditions and manages with additional special educational. The pupil requires additional educational techniques, such as 1:1 sessions with materials such as mood boards and educational cards. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you must be able adapt to different techniques to work with the Stroud student.

The SEN Teaching Assistant role:

  • Full time basis, 8:30am-4:30pm daily (Term time only).
  • ASD/Autism experienced (Level 2 qualification preferable)
  • 1:1 sessions to enable the KS2 student to access the mainstream KS2 curriculum.
  • Starts September 2024
  • 83.33 - 90 daily pay

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you're preparing the students for adult life, through person-centred academic and vocational study programmes. The Stroud, Gloucestershire school embraces a broad and follows the KS2 curriculum with support from you to adapt the educational activities that align with their interests of the student, like music making, DT projects and a art in residence.

Enable you the Stroud pupil to thrive, setting him up for Secondary education. This role may require you to work with other students, dependent on the other SEN students' needs.
