Our client is a leading manufacturing company looking to expand their well-established workforce!

They have an exciting position for a Welder within the Production department to produce company products to the required standard and quality as defined by drawings, written instructions, and direction from the supervisor. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in TIG, MIG, and fabrication, with a focus on specialist welding of stainless steel and aluminium structures.

Key Responsibilities of a Welder:

  • Carry out finishing weld runs on fabricated assemblies.
  • Perform specialist TIG welding on stainless steel and/or aluminium structures, pipework, and components.
  • Execute purged back pipe welding on sch 10 stainless steel pipe to ASME IX standard.
  • Produce fabricated box and tubular structures in-line with BS9606 standards.
  • Conduct general MIG applications on mild steel structures.
  • Perform general fabrication and fettling work.
  • Ensure welding meets standard requirements, with scheduled test pieces examined by a third party.
  • Comply with company Health & Safety policies, ensuring personal and team safety.

Key Skills of a Welder:

  • Ability to read, understand, and produce work from general engineering drawings.
  • Experience using general engineering equipment.
  • Competency in monitoring throughput and identifying work requiring concessions or remedial attention.
  • Proficiency in Argon back purging on stainless steel pipework welding to ASME IX standard.
  • Ability to weld with and without jig and fixture arrangements.
