Network Security Engineer Perm London (Hybrid) Must Be SC

  • Ensure absolute focus on the Client and delivery to meet their requirements, resolve complex issues that may involve other vendor technologies and provide a professional service above and beyond their satisfaction. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Maintaining excellent customer communication at all times and be a primary point of escalation around FortiNAC & other Fortinet technologies
    • Managing internal support escalations through all supporting levels as needed
    • Performing detailed analysis and resolution of assigned tickets in line with client and ITIL record management processes and standards
    • Providing supporting performance analytics and reporting as required and automatically
    • Maintaining accurate documentation in knowledge base and CMDB
    • General technical housekeeping
    • Maintains excellent working practice under RFC, scheduled maintenance windows with clear communications and aligning necessary client side UAT as required.
    • Deliver pre-authorised service requests (MACD's) within the agreed timescale, quality and instructions
    • Proactively escalates Incidents to the Client Services Escalation contact or other responsible person when Service Level targets are expected to be breached, or where technical or functional escalation is needed.
  • Provide leadership with all technical and lifecycle management tasks on operational Fortinet SD WAN products in place among several client sites, typically a 3 tier DMZ model. Able to meet the requirement standards of Fortinet NSE 5 network security.
  • Working within the ITIL framework to provide customer support to ensure group Service Level Agreements are met and maintained
  • Complies with the policies, standards and processes where appropriate its clients
  • Complies with all legislation and internal policies including but not limited to; Data Protection, Health and Safety, Computer Misuse/Security, Equal Opportunities, Absence and Customer Care.
  • Sharing knowledge and training other members of the Client Services and other technical teams to develop technical capabilities, standardising Changes/MACD's and improving delivery
  • Validation or suggest configurations changes to enhance security, operational or administrative processes and productivity.
  • Prepare runbooks for both internal and external change processes, with UAT planning and attend CAB meetings as required (internal only).
  • Assist with any aspects of the Pre-Sales cycle including possible POC in partnership with relevant teams as required. Assist PS teams that may require additional product specialist knowledge, when required.
  • NSE 6 with FortiNAC or FortiWeb modules highly beneficial.
  • Experience with Palo Alto up to PCNSE equivalent or Cisco ASA firewalls and switch stacks up to CCNP level
  • CISSP, and knowledge of F5, Imperva, Radware or equivalent desirable.
