ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in an SEN School in Redditch on a full-time basis.

The role:

  • A well-established school is seeking an enthusiastic, devoted, and caring learning support assistant to work with children with special educational needs.
  • The school is looking for someone to provide support to children on a one-to-one and small-group basis in a classroom setting, working alongside a Teacher and additional support staff.
  • Promote student engagement and participation during lessons.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment that encourages growth and independence for all students.

About the School:

  • An all through school catering for students aged 4-19 years of age.
  • Assisting and supporting pupils with a range of SEN and complex needs, including, Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment, speech, language and communication difficulties, - Autistic, Social, Emotional and Mental Health.
  • This is a friendly and welcoming school providing a supportive environment where students can flourish.
  • The school foster a positive learning environment where individual needs are taken into account to encourage engagement, emotional well-being and social development.

About you:-
We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have relevant experience supporting students with autism, social, emotional, physical and severe learning difficulties.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Are dedicated, compassionate, and eager to go the extra mile to support the students in your care.
  • Can provide appropriate references and pass a DBS check.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are a suitable qualification for working with children and experience working with special education needs.
