ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in an SEN School in Redditch on a full-time basis.

The role:

  • A well-established school is seeking an enthusiastic, devoted, and caring learning support assistant to work closely with children in small groups with special educational needs to support their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with the class Teacher and other support staff to implement individualised learning plans and strategies for students.
  • Encourage student engagement and participation during lessons promoting a sense of belonging and achievement.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment that encourages growth and independence for all students.

About the school:

  • A Specialist school based in Bromsgrove for children and young people aged from Reception to post 16 with moderate to complex needs with the aim of providing high quality education.
  • Children have a range of diagnoses and special needs, including moderate learning difficulties, and/ or Social Emotional Mental Health issues.
  • Providing a safe, positive, stimulating and challenging learning environment where all pupils’ needs are identified.
  • Access a wide range of funded training and qualification opportunities in SEN education whilst gaining a breadth of experience with children of varying ages and abilities.

About you:-
We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have relevant experience supporting students with autism, social, emotional, physical and learning difficulties.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Are dedicated, compassionate, and eager to go the extra mile to support the students in your care.
  • Can provide appropriate references and pass a DBS check.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are a suitable qualification for working with children and experience working with special education needs.
