Accountant (Part-Time)

We are working alongside a company who is looking to recruit an experienced and hands-on Accounts/Bookeeper on a part-time basis.

You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing accounts, payroll, credit-control and ensuring compliance with all financial records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the company's financial transactions
  • Prepare financial statements and reports from bespoke accounting software
  • Reconciling bank statements
  • Reviewing bank accounts and cash flow regularly and assisting in cash flow reports, budgets, and forecasts
  • Credit Control management including carrying out due-diligence for new customers and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Analysing financial data to identify discrepancies
  • Assist the external accountant with year-end processes and submissions
  • Completing monthly stock takes
  • Processing monthly payroll and all activities that come with this including submitting information on to HMRC
  • Process employee expense form submissions
  • Petty cash and company credit card management

Your Background & Skill:

  • Proven experience as an Accountant.
  • Proficiency in accounting software including Sage
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Ability to analyse financial data and extract insights
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure secure and safe handling of all financial information.
