Staffing Centre are proud to be working in partnership with a leading Children's Home who require a Registered Manager in which Children/Young People can learn life skills and behaviour whilst providing a safe, resilient, caring and homely environment.

Your new role

The post holder will oversee the day-to-day runnning of the home; including clear and effective procedures for monitoring & controlling the activities of the home, the financial viability of the home, any serious incidents, allegation or complaints about the provision and the quality of the provision.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People’s Workforce, or equivalent.
  • Hold or be willing to undertake the level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management.
  • Experience of working in a Management Role at Deputy level, Interim Manager level or Registered Manager level within a children’s residential care setting.
  • Knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding.
  • Proven ability to lead staff teams and line management experience, including supervisions.
  • The successful candidate will be registered with Ofsted and must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential care setting within the past 5 years.
  • Experience of both regulation 44 visits and OFSTED visits.
  • Ability to use own initiative and be willing to learn.
  • Be child focused and have the willingness to embrace the therapeutic model and inspire both the young people and team members to follow this.
