Our client is a leading European contractor specializing in the execution of complex engineering projects across diverse industries, including data centers, life sciences, advanced technology, and healthcare. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation Technician to join their team in Co. Clare, Ireland. This is a contract position for 3 months, with the potential to extend to 1 year.



Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, installation, and maintenance of low voltage (LV) instruments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydroturbine instrumentation systems.
  • Install and maintain control and instrumentation (C&I) cabling.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on instrumentation equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize instrument performance.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
  • Proficiency in low voltage (LV) instruments and hydroturbine instrumentation systems.
  • Working knowledge of control and instrumentation (C&I) cabling practices.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Certification in instrumentation or related field is preferred.


Day-to-day

  • Calibrating and testing instrumentation equipment.
  • Installing and maintaining C&I cabling.
  • Collaborating with engineering and operations teams.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing hydroturbine instrumentation systems.
  • Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance.


Work Schedule:

Contract/Full-time, with potential for overtime or on-call shifts depending on project demands.

Pay rate: DOE
