We have been engaged by the firm to recruit a client Accounting Manager for their office in the east of England, an easy commute from Sudbury.

Your primary objective as Accounting Manager is to control a portfolio of accounts clients, to continue to provide a high level of service.  You will manage and organise the work of the team, with a primary focus on meeting targets and maintaining standards in accordance with appropriate accounting standards.

Tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Prepare or review financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, charities and limited companies in accordance with relevant accounting standards
  • As well as allocating tasks to the team, you will review the work completed by junior colleagues, monitor and report on their performance and provide assistance in their development.
  • Prepare schedules for tax returns
  • Review management accounts and VAT returns.
  • Continue to maintain strong relationships with clients, developing further where appropriate, attending meetings and recognising new opportunities.
