Just Recruitment is working with a well-regarded manufacturer, based on the outskirts of Sudbury - they are looking to add a Stores and Stock Assistant, to their engineering team.The key purpose of this role is to set up and maintain the stores function for the businesses maintenance team - ensuring that the required items area ready and available to support the production facility as needed.Key duties include: Willing to start from scratch - laying out a small area for the stores function and owning numbering systems, ordering equipment etc.Works to a high standard of accuracy and has experience making improvements to stock management processes and procedures.Experience with managing an engineering database in Excel or a dedicated system, and able to work to a high level of accuracy and organisation in recording and issuing documentation related to PPMs, breakdowns etc.Self-starter; able to work alone or as part of a team.Competent in using Microsoft Office (Excel,Outlook)Key attributes will include someone who pays particular attention to detail and who carries out their duties to a high standard with confidence, honesty, and passion.In this role you will be responsible for:Rolling Stock Take, End of Year Stock TakePurchasing spares based on tracking usageMaintenance and Health and Safety consumablesGeneral parts and consumable orderingAdministration for issuing and updating planned (e.g. PPMs) and unplanned works ordersBe the lead user for the Engineering data base, creating reports as requiredUpdating spares usageCreating new parts ordersCreate new and maintain current standard operating procedures (SOPs)Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm.Free parking is available on site as well as a desirable working location.This is a great opportunity to join a growing business!
