Payroll Administrator – Commutable from Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich

 

£27,00 – £35,000

 

A long established firm of accountants, commutable from Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich are seeking to hire into their friendly payroll team.

 

You will work to support the Payroll Manager, as part of the payroll team, helping to manage and accurately process a number of payrolls.

 

Responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Manage a variety of payrolls, including annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly schedules.
  • Prepare and draft key payroll documents such as payslips, P45s, and P60s.
  • Submit Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC in accordance with regulations.
  • Complete end-of-year processing and reconciliations, including final RTI submissions.
  • Handle tax code changes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Process new starters, leavers, absences, statutory leave, and pay adjustments.
  • Generate payroll reports for management use.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, National Insurance, and pension contribution regulations.
  • Follow and contribute to improving processes for efficient payroll delivery.
  • Provide first-line support to resolve payroll queries effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships through excellent communication and service.
