Programme Manager

Salary: 70-80k (DOE)

Location: Co. Clare, Ireland
Role: Onsite

Our client is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead their Product Development Department. The company operates worldwide and boasts a well-established presence with manufacturing, engineering, and commercial operations.

Role Overview
The Programme Manager will oversee a portfolio of projects within the Product Development Department, ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery while maintaining high standards of quality. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills, to ensure smooth operations across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Development: Create and implement a project management process based on industry best practices, customised to meet the company's unique requirements. Work closely with project managers and technical leads to ensure consistent application across all projects.
  • Resource Management: Design and implement processes and tools for effort recording, work estimation, and capacity planning. Prioritise tasks and allocate resources to ensure project completion within budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including team members, clients, and the leadership team, to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and make adjustments where necessary to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular progress updates and presentations for the executive leadership team, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and challenges.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Manufacturing or Electronic Engineering.
  • 5+ years' experience in Project/Programme Management, preferably in the electronics or technology sector (although not essential).
  • Strong knowledge of PM methodologies, Agile/Waterfall.
  • Relevant Project Management certification, PMP/Prince2
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments is a plus.
