I'm looking for a Field Service Control Systems Engineer to join our client in Sudbury.
The travel for this position is 30% - 50% and is all covered by the company, as well as a company phone and laptop.
Responsibilities:
- Perform equipment start-ups, technical service calls, and troubleshooting.
- Develop pneumatic and electrical control systems, including PLC programming (Siemens/Allen Bradley - training provided).
- Assist in project execution by specifying parts and liaising with suppliers.
- Communicate with clients to understand and meet their control system requirements.
- Conduct equipment and application testing.
- Prepare site visit reports and maintain internal documentation.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal engineering/project teams.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
Experience and Skills Required:
- HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Willingness to travel
- Minimum of three years' experience in a technical role, ideally in machinery maintenance.
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge, including familiarity with pneumatic circuits.
- Experience with PLC programming (Siemens or Allen Bradley) is advantageous but not essential-training provided.
- Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel globally.
