We are seeking an English Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in West Suffolk. This role involves teaching English to KS3 and KS4 students. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and passionate educator, ready to inspire and engage students with the richness of the English language and literature.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring alignment with national curriculum standards.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and tailored support to foster student achievement.
- Develop and use a variety of teaching materials and approaches to suit different learning styles and maximize student engagement.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to the development of the English curriculum and sharing best practices.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respects diversity.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational research and pedagogy.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience in teaching English at secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
