I am working alongside a leading civil engineering contractor who work heavily across the UK delivering schemes within the energy sector. My client is looking to onboard a general foreman to help deliver a new renewable energy project being delivered in Cornwall.
General foreman responsibilities:
- Working alongside and reporting to the project manager.
- Managing plant, labour and materials.
- Detailed record keeping.
- Allocation sheets.
- Managing health and safety.
- Putting labour to work.
- Task briefings.
- Liaising with the client and subcontractors on site.
- Ensuring works are being carried out in accordance to RAMS and program.
General foreman requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- CSCS card - Gold/ Black or white.
- SMSTS.
- First aid.
- Lifting ops.
- NSI 6&8 Competent persons.
- Previous experience within a general foreman position.
- Previous experience working on a substation, solar farm or wind farm.
- Full UK driving licence.
