We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Investigations Engineer to manage the investigation of returned products, oversee internal manufacturing failures, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in fault identification, product assessment, and customer-facing investigations.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and manage repairs and returns upon receipt.
  • Maintain the returns database, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Identify and confirm mechanical and electrical fault types.
  • Perform routine assessments for overhauls, including unit strip-downs and microscopic inspections.
  • Support investigations into internal product failures using electrical and mechanical test equipment.
  • Document overhaul and repair instructions, incorporating EASA Part 145 requirements.
  • Produce detailed investigation reports for customers and support 8D responses.
  • Participate in the FRACAS process to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key customer-facing representative, supporting both onsite and external visits.
  • Assist with internal audits and action any identified issues.

  
What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Investigations Engineer or similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse mechanical and electrical failures.
  • Experience with fault-finding, repair processes, and quality investigation techniques.
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 145 requirements and aerospace regulations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent report-writing and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and customer-facing abilities.
  • Familiarity with 8D problem-solving methodologies and FRACAS processes.
