Are you a dynamic, results-driven leader with a strong background in contract distribution? We're looking for an experienced Head of Key Accounts to join our client, overseeing strategic large accounts. If you have a passion for operational excellence, customer engagement, and people management, this is the role for you.

About the RoleAs the Head of Key Accounts, you'll take full ownership of our contract distribution operations. This multifaceted role will require you to lead in HR, finance, operations, and people management. You'll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, managing commercials, and driving contract performance to maximise revenue and growth. Strong commercial background as well as Operations is essential to scucceed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Oversee and manage strategic large contracts, ensuring delivery of KPIs, maintaining excellent customer relationships, and driving contract performance to maximise revenue streams.
  • Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction. You'll regularly meet with clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities to enhance service levels and expand contracts.
  • Operations Oversight: Lead and support the current management team and drivers while building and maximising on performance across the current contract and accounts.
  • People Management: Take responsibility for all HR-related functions within your team, including recruitment, training, development, and performance management, ensuring a motivated and efficient workforce.
  • Financial Accountability: Manage budgets, track financial performance, and ensure cost-effectiveness across all contracts. You'll work closely with the finance team to monitor profitability and drive commercial success.
  • Commercial Leadership: Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and expansions, maximising revenue from existing contracts while exploring new opportunities.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the distribution operations, focusing on improving productivity, minimising downtime, and maintaining high service standards.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations are compliant with legal regulations and company safety standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a senior management role within the logistics or contract distribution sector.
  • Strong operational, commercial, and financial acumen, with a track record of managing multimillion-pound contracts.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with experience managing and nurturing client relationships.
  • Strong people management skills, with experience in leading, developing, and motivating large teams.
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, from HR and finance to operations and customer service.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions under pressure.
