I am recruiting for an experienced Import Operations Clerk for a Sunbury-based client who specialises in freight forwarding.The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of airfreight, though the company also handles ocean and road freight. This is a Monday-Friday position, office-based, working from 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
Main Duties:
- Managing the entire import process from start to finish
- Completing customs entries, using ASM Sequoia & CDS
- Liaising with customers and overseas office partners
- Handling air freight predominantly, as well as some road and sea freight
- Providing quotes
- Booking with airlines
- Arranging collections and deliveries
- Preparing AWBs using our in-house system
- Invoicing
Key Requirements:
- Has over 2 years of industry experience in air imports
- Customs compliance and entries experience
- Additional road or sea freight experience would be a bonus
- Experience using Sequoia & CDS systems (desirable)
- Possesses a good telephone manner and is friendly and approachable
- Holds a valid driver's license (ideally)
Benefits:
- Salary of £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
