- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00
- Friday: 07:30 - 13:00
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a dynamic team within a reputable engineering company. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of assemblies for different sectors.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Assembly Technician.
- Previous assembly experience within the Aerospace or Automotive manufacturing industries.
- Confident in using hand tools such as spanners, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and electric power tools.
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Competent in reading and interpreting assembly drawings and instructions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Your key tasks will include:
- Performing mechanical assembly tasks.
- Building and assembling various fan units.
- Assembling large fans, motors, and heaters.
- Using measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometers with precision.
- Handling heavy parts and components, requiring physical fitness for lifting tasks.
Key Knowledge and Experience:
- Ability to read and understand drawings, CMMs, and SOPs.
- Skilled in working with SOPs in conjunction with technical drawings.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, and comprehension).
- Experience with machines such as lathes and drills.
- Brazing experience is desirable.
- Strong teamwork skills.
Requirements:
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must:
- Be eligible for BPSS Clearance.
- Provide a 3-year employment history.
- Undergo a CRB Check and Address Verification.
