Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00
  • Friday: 07:30 - 13:00

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a dynamic team within a reputable engineering company. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of assemblies for different sectors.



About You:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Assembly Technician.
  • Previous assembly experience within the Aerospace or Automotive manufacturing industries.
  • Confident in using hand tools such as spanners, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and electric power tools.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting assembly drawings and instructions.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Your key tasks will include:

  • Performing mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Building and assembling various fan units.
  • Assembling large fans, motors, and heaters.
  • Using measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometers with precision.
  • Handling heavy parts and components, requiring physical fitness for lifting tasks.


Key Knowledge and Experience:

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, CMMs, and SOPs.
  • Skilled in working with SOPs in conjunction with technical drawings.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and comprehension).
  • Experience with machines such as lathes and drills.
  • Brazing experience is desirable.
  • Strong teamwork skills.


Requirements:

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must:

  • Be eligible for BPSS Clearance.
  • Provide a 3-year employment history.
  • Undergo a CRB Check and Address Verification.
