Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team. This key role involves assembling electro-mechanical systems based on technical diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Customer Manufacturing Manuals (CMMs). The successful candidate will also be responsible for the testing, inspection, and repair of assemblies, ensuring that all products meet high-quality standards and functional specifications. Additionally, the role requires maintenance of the equipment used in the assembly process.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble various electro-mechanical components (such as motors, fans, and heaters) in line with technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs.
Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments, including torque drivers, micrometers, and verniers.
Perform a range of assembly tasks, including drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing, and lubrication.
Wire and cable components according to technical specifications.
Conduct thorough tests and inspections to identify and resolve any faults or issues in the products.
Ensure adherence to all manufacturing procedures to maintain the highest quality standards.
Complete necessary documentation accurately and within deadlines.
Actively engage in Continuous Improvement and 5S initiatives to optimize productivity and product quality.
Follow all safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
Provide training support to colleagues in line with the team's skill matrix, and assist with tasks in other departments when needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
Undertake further training as required to fulfil role requirements.
Offer support with additional tasks, particularly during periods of reduced staffing.
Contribute to the smooth running of the department, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, CMMs, and SOPs.
Capable of working autonomously using SOPs and diagrams.
Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly is an advantage.
Familiarity with both mechanical and electrical components.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of small assembly tools and equipment, including soldering for small components.
Experience in assembling small mechanical/electrical parts.
Ability to work well within a team environment, with a logical and methodical approach to tasks.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
