NEW TEST TECHNICIAN JOB BASED IN SURREY.

This role presents a unique opportunity for a Test Technician to join a dynamic and growing organization committed to excellence in wind sensor technology. The company designs and manufactures innovative ultrasonic wind sensors using a proprietary acoustic resonance technique to measure wind speed, direction, and temperature with unmatched precision.

The purpose of this role is to test and fault finding on a range of high quality devices in a busy R&D and production facility.

Responsibilities as a Test Technician in Surrey.

  • Design test procedures and assist in setting up and running engineering tests, including environmental and reliability testing.
  • Conduct engineering analysis, collaborate on design validation, and support product development with test planning and methodologies.
  • Lead 5S initiatives, promoting safety and best practices within laboratory spaces.
  • Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory equipment, train users, and monitor adherence.
  • Create contingency plans for equipment failures.

Requirements as a Test Technician in Surrey.

  • Minimum HND or BSc in Electronics or a related field.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience in an electronics/electrical or environmental lab.
  • Knowledge of electronics, sensor performance, and QA processes including validation and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation engineering and environmental test equipment.
